The other night I was at the Murcury lounge in Manhattan, I was setting up when 5 guys walked in. The one that cought my eye was a tall bearded man wearing overalls and carrying a banjo, I thought to myself I have to check these guys out.

Later that night I walked back into the main room where the bearded man in overalls had taken the stage with his four friends and man the crowd was loving it.
They had a banjo (Dave Carroll), a Mandolin (Erik Berry), a fiddle (Ryan young), a bass (Tim Saxhaug), a accoustic (David Simonett) and they all sung except the fiddle player.

I was instantly sucked into their bluegrass, they had so much energy it made me want to drink wiskey and party all night out on someones property out in the country.

Trampled by turtles are from Duluth, Minnesota. They released their debut album in 2004 "Songs from a ghost town"

I have only had the pleasure of hearing their two latest albums "Duluth"

I have not been able to stop myself from listening to these albums, so good to hear some honest music.

If you don't know this name yet write it down, cos this band rules hard!
This is the best hardcore (throw in a little doom) I have heard in a long time.

The first two albums Walking Disease and Trash Talk are the only ones that I have listened to so far and I have to say that I love these ablums, the album "Trash Talk" was produced by steve albini. Lets be honest Steve Albini sometimes is a little hit and miss but he nailed "Trash Talk" it is awesome from start to finish and wow what a finish it is.
  I had the pleasure of seeing them play in texas at SXSW, it was their 7th show of the day, but that didn't stop them from tearing the place apart. So much energy


Their latest album Eyes and Nines

was produced by Joby J. Ford from The Bronx and has been getting rave reviews everywhere i seem to go.

These guys are just an honest, raw and to put simply RAD band.
They come from West Chester, Pennsylvania United States

I like their attitude

"spraynard is a new band from west chester, pa. we were lucky enough to witness the very tail end of the glory known as the west chester punk rock scene. unfortunately, we were also knee deep in the collapse of said scene. there is no doubt that punk rock in west chester is dead, but instead of moving away and placing our hope elsewhere, we have decided to do our best to revive it."

I dont need to ramble on about these guys just listen to them and you'll know what I'm talking about.
